Aftershave is the finishing touch of a good shave. Once finished you apply the aftershave and not only will you smell nice but the aftershave sometimes has medicinal purposes. If you've ever applied aftershave and felt a burning sensation that is usually an alcohol placed in the aftershave. This alcohol helps to prevent infections from minor cuts when shaving. As well, the alcohol in the aftershave has been rumored to also close the pores opened while performing the warm shave.
